Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 September 2026

Triviverse ("we", "us") operates the football-trivia website at triviverse.com and related short-form video content. This policy explains what limited data we handle when you use the site.

1. Information we collect

Triviverse does not require an account, and we do not ask you for your name, email, or any other personal identifier to play. We collect only:

2. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies/identifiers, primarily for Google Analytics. These help us measure aggregate traffic. You can block or clear cookies in your browser at any time without losing the ability to play.

3. Third-party services

We use Google Analytics (Google LLC) to process anonymised usage statistics. Google acts as a processor and its use of data is governed by Google's own privacy policy. We do not sell your data. Where advertising is shown, see section 4 for how ad personalisation and your consent choice are handled.

Some content is distributed via third-party platforms (for example TikTok and YouTube). When you view or interact with our content on those platforms, their own privacy policies apply to that activity, not this one.

4. Advertising

Triviverse is free to play, with no account and no paywall. To keep it that way it is supported by advertising, served by Google AdSense (Google LLC). Advertising is not currently active on Triviverse — this section describes how it works when it is.

Google and its partners use cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads. Depending on your consent choice these may be:

If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, you are asked for consent before any personalised advertising cookies are set, through Google's certified consent message. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time using the privacy-settings option shown with that consent message, or by clearing this site's cookies in your browser. Withdrawing consent does not stop you playing any game.

Google's use of advertising data is governed by its own policies. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and manage your Google ad settings at myadcenter.google.com.

We never share the local game state stored on your device — your progress, streaks and settings — with advertisers. It never leaves your device.

5. How we use data

Only to operate and improve Triviverse — measuring which games and content are popular, diagnosing problems, and guiding what we build next. We do not use it to identify individual users.

6. Data retention

Aggregated analytics are retained for a limited period in line with Google Analytics' standard retention settings. Local game state remains on your device until you clear it.

7. Your rights

Because we do not hold personal accounts or directly identifiable information, there is normally nothing personal for us to retrieve or delete. You can clear your local data via your browser, and opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser opt-out tools. If you have a question about your data, contact us (below).

8. Children

Triviverse is a general-audience trivia site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
